The St. John Paul II Catholic School Council is an advisory group made up of parents and staff. The council is a vital part of our school community. The purpose of a Catholic School Council, through the active participation of parents, is to improve pupil achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education process to parents.
Our Catholic School Council provides advice and support to the principal, and where appropriate, to senior administrative staff and the Board of Trustees on education matters. The advice should reflect the views of the school community.
Our Catholic School Council meetings take place in the Learning Commons from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All parents are welcome to attend Council meetings. If you would like to bring an agenda item forward for discussion, please contact the principal/council chair in advance of the meeting. Our meeting dates are October 3, 2023, November 21, 2023, March 19, 2024 and June 4, 2024.
Elections for the Parent Council Executive take place at the first meeting of the school year.
